BW Packaging partners with Crown Packaging Corp. to expand integrated packaging solutions

BW Packaging has announced a strategic partnership with Crown Packaging Corp. aimed at expanding integrated packaging automation and packaging solutions for customers across North America. The collaboration was announced on 21 July 2026 and combines the packaging machinery portfolio of BW Packaging, Barry-Wehmiller’s global packaging machinery business, with Crown Packaging Corp.’s packaging supplies, equipment and service capabilities.

Under the agreement, the companies will combine BW Packaging’s packaging machinery, automation technologies and integrated systems with Crown Packaging Corp.’s distribution network of more than 50 branches and affiliates across the United States, Mexico and Canada. The partnership will serve manufacturers, retailers, logistics operations and e-commerce businesses.

According to the companies, the collaboration is intended to provide integrated packaging solutions that support end-of-line packaging operations and packaging line implementation through combined technical expertise and services.

BW Packaging’s portfolio includes filling, labeling, bagging, palletizing, end-of-line equipment and complete packaging line integration. The partnership is expected to broaden the range of packaging systems available through Crown Packaging Corp. while supporting packaging consultation and integrated system deployment.

“Our collaboration with Crown Packaging represents a shared commitment to helping customers solve complex packaging challenges through innovative technology and exceptional service,” said Matt Venezia, Chief Commercial Officer, BW Packaging.

Jim Krapes, Senior Director, Global Key Accounts & Market Development at BW Packaging, said the partnership combines automation expertise with Crown Packaging Corp.’s distribution network and packaging material knowledge to deliver complete technical solutions.

Rich Benkelman, Executive Vice President of Crown Packaging Corp., said customers increasingly require integrated packaging solutions and technical support rather than standalone machinery, adding that the partnership strengthens the company’s ability to deliver packaging equipment, expertise and long-term value across diverse packaging operations.
